LIFE SKILLS

Here are additional ways to help meet the needs of those living in poverty:

Providing livestock such as goats, chickens, or cows to orphanages and underserved communities can help families become more self-sufficient. For example, a healthy cow can produce 6–7 gallons of milk per day. Milk is a valuable source of protein, calcium, and essential nutrients for growing children, and any surplus can also generate ongoing income for the community.

Another impactful option is to provide tools that create sustainable livelihoods. Sewing machines, for instance, enable families to make and sell clothing within their communities. Similarly, providing a small vehicle can allow a family to earn income through transportation services or taxi work.

If you are interested in contributing toward livestock, sewing machines, vehicles, or similar livelihood tools, suggested donation amounts are listed below:

Pair of Chickens – $50 |  Pair of Goats – $200 |  Sewing Machine – $150 |   Cow – $1,000 |  Small Car in India – $5,000

Donors will receive confirmation and proof of delivery for all donated items listed above.
